Abstract
A new glow curve deconvolution function describing a thermoluminescence (TL) glow curve with continuous distribution of activation energies has been presented. Introducing the effective order of kinetics b in the proposed function as an additive adjustable parameter makes it possible to take the retrapping into account in TL kinetics and also gives a better fit to the experimental peak. Since both distribution of activation energies and the effective kinetic order can affect the width of glow peak, it is concluded that the proposed function would give a better estimate of energy width compared to the first-order model.
