Reduced aggregation of CaSo۴:Cu nanoparticles by Gamma Ray Irradiation

چکیده مقاله

CaSo4:Cu nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesised by hydrothermal method . The prepared samples were irradiated by gamma ray emitted from 60 Co source. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used for characterization of irradiated and non-irradiated samples. The results show a reduced nanoparticles aggregation for irradiated samples. The SEM images and XRD results gives average sizes of about 29 and 49 nm for CaSo4:Cu NPs before and after Gamma radiation, respectively. The FT-IR results reveals Cu +2 ions production after gamma radiation. In conclusion, the host materials have important role in decrease of radiation defects (RDs)
