Effects of solvents ratio on electroactive β polymorph formation in electrospun PVDF nanofibers

Electrospun PVDF nanofibers are prepared in this work, where fiber morphology is investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Distribution of fiber diameter is also measured to confirm the Nano scale structure, and the relations between solvent ratio and the fraction of β phase under certain electrospinning conditions are discussed. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy was performed to study crystallinity of the PVDF chains in electrospun fibers.
