Effect of small length scale on elastic buckling of Double-walled carbon nanotube using Timoshenko beam theory

چکیده مقاله

The nonlocal Timoshenko beam model is developed for the elastic buckling of double-walled carbon nanotube (DWCNT) under axial pressure based on the theory of nonlocal elasticity. The effect of small length scale is appeared in the formulation. The governing equation of equilibrium is derived using the force and moment equilibrium relationships. The Timoshenko beam results have been obtained and compared with the Euler- Bernoulli beam results.
