چکیده مقاله
In this study, the adsorptivity of Acid Orange 7 as a model textile dye was studied using a novel
adsorbent. In this case, it was made a good use of waste fibers of mechanized carpets that are wasted in
most of carpet industries. This adsorbent was prepared with phase separation technique and was
followed by amidoximation reaction. This novel adsorbent resembled membrane very much that had
high porosity and surface area. From now, we called them membrane adsorbent. The main reason for
adsorption process was to form hydrogen bindings between sulfonate in Acid Orange 7 and amine
functional groups. To improve conversion and to optimize the performance of this membrane
adsorbent, Taguchi experimental design was also performed. The results showed that the optimum
conditions for removing Acid Orange 7 are 18% wt. polymeric solution, 1 M hydroxylamine
hydrochloride aqueous solution, 70°C reaction temperature, 3.5 h reaction time and pH=7. In this
situation, the removal of this textile dye was 98%.
