چکیده مقاله

Thin-film composite (TFC) membranes were prepared via interfacial polymerization using ethylene diamine as water-soluble monomer and trimesoylchlorde (TMC) as organic-soluble monomer. Salt rejection was used to evaluate the separation performance of TFC membranes. Chitosan was coated on polyamide membranes by in situ reaction of amine and hydroxyl groups of chitosan and un-reacted acyl chloride groups of polyamide active layer. As a result, water flux of the polyamide membranes enhanced. Effect of chitosan concentration on the separation performances were characterized by cross- flow membrane module device. Water flux of the polyamide membranes enhanced from 11.43 to 16.57 2 h. Thus, chitosan as a secondary modifier has special potential to improve the performance of L/m polyamide membranes.
