Formation of Ni/Cu multilayer nanowire arrays by pulsed electrodeposition technique

Ni/Cu multilayer nanowire arrays were ac pulsed electrodeposited into nanopores of anodized aluminium oxide (AAO) template prepared by the common two-step anodization method. Nanopores were widened by immersing in the 0.3 M phosphoric acid for 30 min. Thickness of the magnetic / nonmagnetic layers along the nanowires length was adjusted by the related pulse numbers of each element. It was found that the multilayer nanowires can be successfully obtained by the proposed method.
