چکیده مقاله

In an attempt to reduce the oxidation and Cr evaporation rates, various protective coating layers with a nominal composition of FexMn1.5-x/2Co1.5-x/2O4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.3) were deposited on the SUS 430 ferritic stainless steel substrate, as interconnect for solid oxide fuel cell application, by spray coating method. Phase composition and microstructure of the synthesized spinel nanopowders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The resulting XRD data reveal that a pure phase with spinel structure was obtained for doped spinels. The microstructural characteristics of MCO, Fe0.15MCO, and Fe0.3MCO synthesized powders were made up of nano-particles as large as 40-92, 44-93, and 41-80 nm in soft agglomerates, respectively.
