Surface Modification of CP-Ti Substrate by Combining Micro-arc Oxidation and Electrophoretic Deposition

چکیده مقاله

An attempt has been made to combine micro-arc oxidation (MAO) and electrophoretic deposition (EPD) techniques to generate a hybride coating on commercially pure titanium (Cp-Ti). In the present study, MAO was first applied to form a porous titanium oxide layer (TiO2) on Cp-Ti. Subsequently, bioglass 45S5 (BG) film was deposited on the TiO2 layer by EPD technique. Potentiodynamic polarization measurements in simulated body fluid (SBF) solution showed that the presence of hybride coating on Cp-Ti leaded better corrosion resistance as compared to the MAO'd CP-Ti.
