Effect of non-homogeneous index of FGM and FGP materials on the natural frequencies of the rotating sandwich cylindrical shell

چکیده مقاله

In this paper the effect of non-homogeneous index about functionally graded materials on the natural frequencies of rotating cylindrical shell is investigated. The shell is considered as a sandwich structure which the middle layer is a FGM layer and it's integrated with two functionally graded piezoelectric layers (FGP). The FSDT is applied to model electromechanical system. Adopting the Hamilton's principle the equations of motion are derived as partial differential equations. Then Galerkin's method is applied to discretize the governing equations. Validation is done by comparing results of this study with previously published results and good agreement is observed. Finally the effects of non-homogeneous index of FGM and FGP Layers on natural frequencies are investigated.
