چکیده مقاله
In this study, the turbulent air flow inside a single passage of a typical vane plate mist elimination system (MES) has been analyzed numerically. A series of two dimensional vane have been created in GAMBIT and a simulation of a steady- state turbulent flow over the vane was performed in FLUENT on unstructured meshes. The standard k–ε model has been applied for turbulence. The pressure loss for different MES plate spacing in the range of 20 to 30 mm have been calculated. The numerical results show by increasing the MES spacing the pressure loss will decrease. Moreover the velocity distributions through the flow were computed.
