چکیده مقاله

Electron recombination of photo-injected electrons in (solid-state) dye-sensitized solar cells results in losses in the cell efficiency. It specially occurs at naked transparent conductive oxide (TCO) glass areas. Here, the coverage of TiO2, deposited using spin- and dip-coating methods was investigated. Electrochemical characterization demonstrates that TiO2 dip-coated electrode presents lower current density compared to TiO2 spin-coated layer electrode, in cyclic voltammogram since later electrode consists of higher pin-hole defects, surfaces which are not covered by TiO2 nanoparticles.
