چکیده مقاله

Gold nanorods (GNRs) due to a tuneable localized surface plasmon resonance frequency (LSPR) that changes with aspect ratio have much application in nanotechnology and nanomedicine. High sensitivity of longitudinal plasmon oscillations of this nanoparticles to small changes in the environment, introduced them as a perfect choice for sensor propose and applications. In contrast during the process of detection, resistance and stability of sensors is very important. However, their application at high temperatures is limited due to a shape change that can take place well below the melting point of bulk gold, driven by a reduction in surface energy. This study investigates the stability of gold nanorods in different temperature conditions. The thermal stability of the gold nanorods in an aqueous solution was investigated by molecular absorption spectrophotometer and TEM technique. Results showed that changing temperature heat at altered times, rod-like morphology of nanostructure is preserved and these gold nanorods have high heat resistance. Also this study confirms using of gold nanorods in the design of a new generation of sensors based on surface plasmon oscillations.
