چکیده مقاله

In this study, the free vibration of functionally graded materials (FGMs) rotating circular cylindrical shells based on Love’s shell theory with simply supported boundary condition has been presented. The FGMS layer composed from metal and ceramic that metal on the outer surface and ceramic on the inner surface of the circular cylinder shells. The governing equations for the rotating FGMs circular cylindrical shells are extracted based on Hamilton's principle. Also, the Navier's solution for simply supported boundary conditions is used to solve the equations of the FGMs cylindrical shells. The natural frequency obtained with the present method in this research is compared with the results of other investigations. The numerical results obtained from the rotating FGMs circular cylindrical shells for length to radius ratio, rotating speed, axial and circumferential wave number and power-law exponent are presented. Also, the numerical results indicated that with increasing rotating speed, the gap between backward and forward non-dimensional frequencies increased.
