Potentiality of experimental design in the optimization of influencing parameters on the corrosion inhibition efficiency of ۲-(۴-methoxyphenyl)-benzothiazole using electrochemical techniques

چکیده مقاله

Experimental design in the field of corrosion science was studied in this research. It is an essential step in studying corrosion of mild steel data of multifaceted chemical systems to control the number of principal factors. The multivariate statistical design of experiments (DoE) method is representing a hopeful and efficient optimization technique which can overwhelm the limits of traditional optimization methods. In this research, corrosion inhibition of 2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-benzothiazole was considered by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Obtained data from EIS were assessed to model the corrosion inhibition procedure over equivalent circuit. Achieved optimum values by response surface methodology (RSM) were 992.4 μM for inhibitor concentration, 4.968 M for hydrochloric acid concentration and 25°C for temperature.
