چکیده مقاله

In this study we applied experimental design in the field of corrosion science. Central composite rotatable design (CCRD) in conjunction with response surface methodology (RSM) was developed as an experimental strategy for modeling and optimization of the influencing variables on the performance of a novel corrosion inhibitor. Experimental design techniques were used to investigate the best measurement for mixture of 2-(2-hydroxynaphtyl)-benzothiazole and ethanol as an effective corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in different hydrochloric acid concentration through studying the surface reaction procedure. Obtained optimum values by RSM were 429.70 μM for inhibitor concentration, 3.58 M for hydrochloric acid and 0.2 mL for ethanol volume. These results were obtained by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potentio dynamic polarization measurements.
