چکیده مقاله
The effect of two new synthesized inhibitors on the corrosion of stainless steel 304 in 2.0 M H2SO4 were investigated using
weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy and quantum methods.
Polarization curves indicated that both the inhibitors acted as mixed type inhibitors. Adsorption of inhibitors followed the Langmuir
adsorption isotherm, thus thermodynamic parameters of adsorption (Kads,
o
ads DG ) were calculated using Langmuir adsorption
isotherm. The correlation between the inhibition efficiencies of the studied inhibitors and their molecular structures were
investigated using quantum method. Moreover, some samples of stainless steel 304 were examined by atomic force microscopy.
