Nano-Fe۳O۴/polyethyleneglycol (PEG) as an efficient nanocatalyst for the one-pot synthesis of benzo[g]chromenes under microwave irradiation

چکیده مقاله

A highly efficient method for the synthesis of benzo[g]chromenes by the condensation of aldehydes, malononitrile and 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthaquinone using Fe3O4/polyethyleneglycol (PEG) nanocatalyst under microwave irradiation is described. This method provides several advantages including easy work-up, excellent yields, short reaction times, using of microwave as green method, recoverability of the catalyst, and little catalyst loading. The heterogeneous catalyst was fully characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), VSM, TGA, IR and X-ray diffraction techniques.
