Synthesis of perhydro[۱,۲,۴]triazolo[۱,۲-a][۱,۲,۴]triazole-۱,۵-dithiones catalyzed by Fe۳O۴@SiO۲-SO۳H nanocatalyst

Fe3O4@SiO2-SO3H nanocatalyst has been used as an efficient catalyst for the preparation of perhydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,2-a][1,2,4]triazole-1,5-dithiones from the condensation of various aldazines and potassium thiocyanate in acetonitrile solvent at room temperature. The catalyst was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDS), and FT-IR spectroscopy.
