چکیده مقاله
A simple, environmentally friendly, tandem Knoevenagel condensation and Michael addition
procedure is reported.1 The reactions between dimedone and a variety of aldehydes were carried out
using zns nanoparticls in water to afford tetraketones. They are organic multifunctional molecules
with four carbonyl groups. Tetraketones have exhibited important biological activities such as
tyrosinase inhibition, lipoxygenase inhibition and antioxidant activities.
In modern organic chemistry, the improvement of reaction efficiency, the avoidance of toxic
reagents, the reduction of waste, and the responsible utilization of our resources have become critical
intentions. By keeping these ideas in mind, a simple and green approach for the synthesis of
tetraketones has been developed.2 Among all the reactions were performed in the presence of
different catalysts, it is observed that ZnS nanoparticles are the best catalysts.3 Zinc-based
nanoparticles have great potential to be used as a catalysts for a variety of organic and inorganic
reactions due to their high surface-to-volume ratio (
