Functionalized magnetic nanoparticles with ionic liquid as an efficient and recoverable catalyst for multicomponent Biginelli reaction

In this study, simple and effective methods were used for the preparationof ionic liquid imnobilized magnetic nanoparticles. Fe3O4 nanoparticles were prepared by the chemical co-precipitation method. Then, SiO2 shell was coated on the magnetic core with the Stober method. Finally, CPTES (chloropropyltriethoxysilane) and morpholine was coated on the SiO2 shell. Fe3O4/SiO2/TESPMo+HSO4 -core-shell nanoparticlesas an efficient catalysthave been used for the preparation of 3,4-dihydropyrimidinones.
