Abstract Introduction: Cancer diagnosis is always accompanied with much stress, affecting patient’s not only body but also quality of life. The present study aimed to explore the relationship between resilience and quality of life among women with breast cancer receiving treatment. Materials and Methods: The study was descriptive cross-sectional with a correlational design. Ninety seven women with breast cancer were randomly selected in Seyedoshada Hospital, Isfahan. The data collection instruments included cancer patient Quality of life Questionnaire )EORTC QLQ- C30.V.3) and Block and Kremen Ego Resiliency Scale. To analyze the data, Pearson Product Moment Correlation and independent sample t-test were run in SPSS-12. Result: The average age of the participants was 45.17±9.55. The mean of the patients’ resilience and quality of life were 45.92±9.11 and 63.74±19.20, respectively, both of which are moderate. The results indicated that there is a statistically significant, positive relationship between resilience and global health status/QoL as well as its functional scales among the patients. Conclusion: Awareness of breast cancer and treatment process has different psychological effects on the lives of the patients. Resilience has a positive effect on different aspects of quality of life. Therefore, developing psychological interventions for resilience enhancement can lead to significant improvements in quality of life among these patients.
