چکیده مقاله

This paper delves into the examination of detonation wave behavior within a nonideal setting, which encompasses conditions where external factors, such as friction, cause the detonation behavior to deviate from the ideal pattern. The study involves the modeling of detonation using 1D Euler equations, particularly focusing on momentum conservation. Friction is incorporated as a momentum source term within the equation, while a single-step Arrhenius law represents the chemical kinetics model. The simulation of flow and solution of the Euler equations is carried out using the piecewise parabolic method. Additionally, a conservative shock front tracking algorithm is employed to implement finer meshing (adaptive mesh refinement) at the wavefront location. The investigation into the impact of friction on detonation behavior focuses on mixtures with medium activation energies, which lead to entirely regular detonation behavior. The findings reveal that the attenuation mechanism of the detonation in this study is a combination of two mechanisms: the pressure drop mechanism; and the unburnt packet mechanism.
