چکیده مقاله

Rosa damascena Mill., is the most important medicinal and aromatic plant from economical point af view, that mainly used for oil production. Rose flowers were collected from six important rose oil production regions of Kashan and were used to evaluate their amount and chemical composition of the essential rose oil. The essential oil distillation method was performed by Clevenger apparatus and qualitative analysis was performed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry technique. Rosa damascena landrace from Azaran produced the highest oil content of absolute oil (%0.019 W/W) on petal basis while the lowest value for absolute oil content is (%0.002W/W) that belongs to Eznaveh. The major components identified were Citronellol (57.77-40.68%), Nonadecane (20.76-15.92%), Heneicosane (12.82-8.22%), dl-Limonene (6.87-1.58%) and Geraniol (5.30-1.54%). Dendrogram was created by cluster analysis of essential oil components data. It is indicative of relationship among different populations.
