چکیده مقاله

Motor weakness and improper movement patterns during addiction are associated with skeletal- muscle (musculoskeletal) abnormalities. This study aimed to investigate the effect of 12 weeks of exercise training on improving lumbar Lordosis abnormalities in addicted patients after three months of addiction treatment. The population consists of 104 male addicted patients from 25 to 45 years old referring to the centers of self-help groups for drug addicted, NA (Narcotic Anonymous-NA) in Kashan in 2012. A total of 20 patients suffering from narcotic withdrawal, which has Lordosis were identified and targeted to be available as samples and randomly divided into two groups: experimental and control groups. Experimental group participated in an exercise program involving stretching and strengthening exercises in 3 sessions per week for 12 weeks which take 60 minutes. The control group did not do any physical activity and improvement actions. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to evaluate normal distribution of test data. To evaluate the effectiveness of the exercise, ANCOVA was used on significance level of P≤0.05 by using SPSS18. The results showed that 12 weeks of exercise training on improving lumbar Lordosis abnormalities in addicted patients after three months of addiction treatment had a significant effect (P=0.0001) on the experimental group; but there was observed no significant difference in the control group (P≥0.05). It seems that physical activity and improvement actions can be effective as a non-invasive, and drug-free in the rehabilitation of Lordosis abnormality.
